With this full-length Year 6 SATs Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Practice Paper, children focus on honing what they have learnt about the rules of English grammar, punctuation and spelling throughout Key Stage 2 and the terminology used to talk about them.

The Paper also develops children's ability to successfully work through a Paper 1 in its entirety before sitting the actual exam. 

By doing a full-length paper such as this, children become much more comfortable with the format and the time constraints, making the actual exam far less daunting.

IS THIS AN EVERGREEN OR SEASONAL RESOURCE?

This resource is obviously designed with the KS2 SATs in mind, and as such, will be useful for revision in the spring during the run-up to the exams. That said, you may also find this useful for quick, targeted practice before a mock exam at school or other forms of assessment.

Yes, it does. Like the Practice Paper itself, the guidelines that are provided in this resource are modelled on those published by the government.

The guidelines make clear how many marks you should award for each question, and how to award marks in situations where more than one answer is possible.
